It is with great sadness that we report the passing of John Cowin Sr. John died peacefully in his home on November 15, 2011. He is survived by his wife Betty Jo, son John Jr., daughter Leslie, son in-law John Moore, and three grandchildren. John spent his entire sixty-year career at Cowin & Company, Inc. The Company today is indeed an extension of his efforts, his will, and his character. John was a truly unique and inspirational man. He was supremely honest, fair, hard working, earnest, and caring. He has profoundly impacted all of us and he will be deeply missed.

We want to inform all of our customers and associates that John's death will in no way affect the operations or performance of Cowin & Company, Inc. The Company has a strong capital position, a large portfolio of work, and a deep and excellent operational staff. There will be no changes on either an operational or strategic level.
