When RAISEBOR was founded in 1973, we had only one rig, a Robbins 41-R, which provided us with raise drilling capability for four, five and six foot diameter raises. Now we have added the 61-R, RBM-7, and the Robbins 83 RM-DC rigs thus enabling us to pull larger raises 2000 feet in depth and up to 20 feet in diameter. RAISEBOR now offers a full range of raise drilling services, from small to large, from the surface or underground and uncased or cased with steel plate or tunnel liner.

Dip angles of 45º are not uncommon to us. We feel the drilling procedures developed by us enable the drilling of straight holes in even the most difficult formations.

Our equipment is designed to be dismantled and re-erected underground. . . to get into those tight places. . . and save you time and money. Safety is another great advantage. Under the direction of Richard W. Sidwell, our Raisebor general manager, we have successfully completed projects which have included 6' diameter holes to a total depth of 2200 feet, 9' diameters to 1800 feet, 12' diameters to 1100 feet and 16.5' diameter to 800 feet, just to mention a few.

Our complete line of equipment, including high pressure air compressors, generators, rig-up trucks, etc... and our strong financial position which enables us to bond our work, if required, give us the capabilities of performing complete turnkey surface and underground shafts, including steel and/or concrete lining without relying on assistance from customers or other outside construction companies.
